Ian Basser
MANAGING DIRECTOR & CEO

Ian Basser has over 20 years experience in starting, running and building service companies around the world including Australia, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, USA, UK and Europe.

Previously, Ian was on the Global Management team of Michael Page International, managing operations in Australia, Asia and North America. He was Chief Operating Officer and Board Director of Harvey Nash, running operations in the UK, Europe and the US for 3 years. Most recently, Ian has spent the past 4 years establishing and developing the Mettle Group as a leading strategic Leadership and Culture consultancy.

Ian joined CMG in August 2007 as Director - Recruitment & Consulting Services and accepted the role of Managing Director and CEO of CMG on July 3, 2008.

Richard England
CHAIRMAN, NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Richard England was appointed Chairman-Elect and Non-Executive Director of Chandler Macleod on 27 February 2008, and became Chairman on 7 April 2008. Richard is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Remuneration and Nomination Committee. Richard brings to Chandler Macleod over 30 years of experience in the accounting and financial services profession as well as relevant experience in a number of industries and businesses, including investments and funds management, insurance, banking, healthcare and agriculture.

Until 2003, Mr England spent most of his professional career with Peat Marwick and Ernst & Young and its predecessor firms, first becoming a partner in 1982. He is currently Chairman of Ruralco Holdings and a Non-Executive Director of Choiseul Investments, Healthscope and St George Bank.

John Plummer
DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Bachelor of Commerce, MBA, FCIS

John is the past National President of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association, the peak body of the employment services industry in Australia and New Zealand. John is a Director of London City Equities Ltd and Belmont Holdings Ltd (both since November 2004) and a Director of Recruitment Super, the recruitment industry superannuation fund. As well as being Deputy Chairman, John is also a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Mark Carnegie
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Bachelor of Art (Hons), Bachelor of Science (Hons)

Mark Carnegie is CEO, Alternative Investments, of LCW Private Equity Pty Ltd (LCW), which manages funds that are substantial shareholders of Chandler MacLeod Group Limited. He has had a near twenty-year career as an investor and corporate adviser in New York, London, and Sydney, is a Director of LCW, Macquarie Radio Network Ltd and a large number of investee companies. He is a former Director of Lonely Planet Publications, Chairman of STW Communications (1993-2005) and President Commissioner of PT London Sumatra (2004-2007).

Amongst other investments, Mr. Carnegie has been a participant in groups that have acquired major stakes in the Courage Pub Estate, John Fairfax Holdings, Hoyts Cinemas, Formula One Holdings, SCTV, Macquarie Radio Network, and Lonely Planet Publications.

David Birkbeck
ALTERNATE DIRECTOR FOR MARK CARNEGIE
Bachelor of Commerce, Member Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

David joined the CMG Board on 27 October 2009 as Alternate Director for Mark Carnegie. He is Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Lazard’s Australian Corporate Advisory business, and LCW’s Private Equity Business. Prior to joining Carnegie Wylie & Company in 2001, which was later sold to Lazard in 2007, David worked in the Chartered Accounting Profession for over 10 years.

David is currently also a director of Dun & Bradstreet Australia, 4RF Communications Ltd, and numerous private entities.
